Development history and current situation of amorphous nanocrystalline industry market in 2021

According to the “China Amorphous Nanocrystalline Market Forecast and Investment Strategy Report (2021 Edition)” released by Limu Information Consulting, amorphous alloy materials came into being in 1934, and the global research on amorphous alloy has made very significant progress in the past 100 years. At present, amorphous alloys have been formed, including hundreds of alloy materials such as Fe base (iron base), Zr base (zirconium base), Mg base (magnesium base), etc., and the cooling rate is reduced from the initial >106K/s to 1K/s for some materials. The size of the forming material has also developed from the initial thin nm grade amorphous film to today’s 10mm grade or even 100mm grade massive amorphous film, and the properties also show different differentiation.


In the 1980s, amorphous alloys began to be industrialized on a large scale in the United States, mainly focusing on amorphous strips in the field of transformers. Around 2000, the amorphous industry in Japan also began to be industrialized, with Hitachi Metals as the main representative. At the same time, LiquidMetalTechnology is also on the market as a producer of small bulk amorphous alloys.


In the 1970s, China began to study amorphous alloy materials. Although it started late, it developed rapidly. During the Seventh Five-Year Plan period, a production line of 100 tons of amorphous alloy strip was built, and the width of amorphous alloy strip was up to 100mm. During the Eighth Five-Year Plan period, the online automatic coiling technology of amorphous alloy strip was realized, and the production line of amorphous alloy strip with an annual output of 200,000 pieces was realized. During the Ninth Five-Year Plan period, the National Research Center of Amorphous Ultra-microcrystalline Engineering Technology was established.

At present, China’s 10,000-ton strip production line has been put into production, and there are 11 amorphous broadband enterprises for distribution, with a design capacity of 350,000 tons
